Dynamometer Operator – US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Dynamometer Operator to support a critical US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safe use of a high‑performance dynamometer system in an austere, multi‑national environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate all aspects of the dynamometer system according to established procedures and technical parameters.
• Perform routine setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance to maximize system efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and report any malfunctions or performance issues promptly.
• Document operational activities, maintenance tasks, and test results in the required reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during all operations.

Required profile

• Formal training and qualification in dynamometer operation.
• Ability to work safely and independently, monitoring and maintaining the system.
• Understanding of testing and diagnostic processes related to dynamometer use.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the deployment duration.
