Electrical Engineering Trainer

About the role

The Gichugu Technical and Vocational College is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering Trainer to join its Westlands campus in Nairobi. This full‑time position involves delivering practical and theoretical instruction to students pursuing a Diploma/Level 6 in Electrical Engineering (Power option).

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum aligned with TVETA standards for electrical engineering (power) courses.
• Conduct classroom lectures, laboratory sessions, and hands‑on projects.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date training materials and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students on academic and career pathways.

Required profile

• Diploma or Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering (Power option) or an equivalent recognized credential.
• Valid licence from TVETA and any other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Pedagogy qualification or formal teacher training.
• Ability to submit hard‑copy application documents, including ID/passport, academic transcripts, and relevant certificates.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of power systems and electrical engineering fundamentals.
