Electro-Mechanical Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Electro‑Mechanical Technician to ensure our production equipment is operational, safe and well‑maintained. The successful candidate will install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair a range of electromechanical systems in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and maintain motors, drives, sensors, PLCs and control units.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical or hydraulic failures and carry out corrective interventions.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, technical schematics and mechanical blue‑prints.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system upgrades and component replacements such as belts, chains, gears and actuators.
• Configure and reset automation systems using PLC software.
• Use measurement and diagnostic tools (multimeters, calipers, etc.) and document all work in maintenance logs.
• Conduct tests and calibrations to verify performance against specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and other technicians during installations and integrations.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Electronics.
• 3–5 years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing setting, preferably FMCG.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• PLC programming and configuration (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Delta).
• Motor controllers and sensor integration.
• Electrical diagnostics and mechanical assembly.
• Use of multimeters, calipers and other testing equipment.
• Basic welding on stainless steel, mild steel and cast iron.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
