About the role
Mercor is seeking an experienced Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) expert to provide technical peer‑review for data‑center projects. In this part‑time role you will evaluate complex engineering tasks, identify gaps, and ensure deliverables align with professional EPC standards.
Key responsibilities
- Review long‑horizon tasks covering design coordination, procurement data, bid packages, EOR revisions, constructability, temporary works, 4D sequencing, field engineering, commissioning and handover.
- Validate scope interfaces, technical requirements, schedule logic, equipment and material constraints, document control, construction methods and acceptance criteria.
- Detect ambiguities, conflicting documents, missing constraints or unrealistic deliverables and propose improvements.
- Enhance task prompts, supporting artifacts, rubrics and programmatic checks.
- Produce clear technical findings and verify corrected tasks from start to finish.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience delivering data‑centers, mission‑critical facilities or similarly complex capital projects through EPC, design‑build or construction‑management models.
- Background in roles such as Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, Design Manager, Construction Manager, Field Engineer, Procurement Engineer, Commissioning Manager, Project Controls Lead or Technical Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design and construction interfaces; professional engineering, PMP, CCM or commissioning credentials are a plus.
- Experience with leading EPC, design‑build or construction firms preferred.
- Ability to interpret large sets of specifications, drawings, schedules, equipment submittals, cost registers and field records.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent written communication skills.

What we offer
- Compensation ranging from $100 to $140 per hour, based on experience.
- Flexible part‑time commitment (approximately 5–10 hours per week) with immediate start.
