Enterprise Banker

About the role

The Enterprise Banker will drive business performance by acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing ones. You will act as the primary point of contact for business banking clients, delivering tailored banking solutions and ensuring a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Open enterprise banking accounts and process account documentation in line with bank policies.
• Promote and sell banking products and services through face‑to‑face, telephone, and lead‑follow‑up activities.
• Identify sales opportunities, meet and exceed targets for product campaigns, and grow portfolio profitability.
• Initiate and manage client credit applications, adhering to Absa Africa SME lending guidelines.
• Conduct customer meetings with clear objectives and follow‑up on lending decisions.
• Maintain accurate sales performance statistics for management reporting.
• Collaborate with branch staff to refer customers to the Enterprise Banker when appropriate.
• Handle customer queries and complaints related to account opening, loans, and card applications, escalating when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in business banking or a related financial services role.
• Strong understanding of banking products, credit assessment, and sales processes.
• Ability to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
• Good analytical skills for financial statement review.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with branch teams.
