Entry Level Specialist: Customer Experience (C&B)

About the role

The Entry Level Specialist will support the branch in delivering an excellent customer experience for Islamic Banking products. The role focuses on business growth, compliance, and ensuring high service standards while contributing to the branch’s profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Islamic Banking strategic initiatives to increase new business and wallet share.
• Manage a portfolio of retail and business banking customers, ensuring compliance with KYC, AML and operational risk policies.
• Collaborate with sales, asset finance, CIB and bancassurance teams to cross‑sell products and improve customer profiling.
• Monitor and achieve daily targets for new and existing client acquisition, maintaining required turnaround times.
• Address customer issues promptly, escalating when necessary to meet service level standards.

Required profile

• A Business‑related degree from a recognized university.
• Experience or familiarity with Islamic banking and related products.
• Detailed knowledge of Absa retail and business banking product strategy.
• Understanding of Shariah law, Shariah board processes and Islamic financial instruments.
• Ability to adhere to compliance, KYC/AML and internal control requirements.
