Expeditor – Transport Operations

About the role

The Expeditor will plan, execute and coordinate transportation activities for DHL Supply Chain Kenya, ensuring timely and cost‑effective movement of goods while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Build optimal routes for the dedicated fleet and manage the customer database.
• Identify and resolve transportation issues such as delays or route changes.
• Coordinate with drivers, carriers and logistics partners to execute transport plans.
• Monitor KPIs on on‑time delivery, efficiency and cost, and recommend improvements.
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation operations and execution.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards and compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience using route‑optimization tools.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot GPS equipment.
