External Relations Officer – Makueni Agrihub

About the role

The External Relations Officer will support Eni Natural Energies Kenya EPZ Ltd (ENEK) in Makueni by managing relationships with government bodies, NGOs, and local communities. Reporting to the External Relations Manager, the role ensures smooth stakeholder engagement for the Agri‑Hub projects that promote sustainable agriculture and biofuel production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with national and county authorities, ministries, NGOs and community groups.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, briefings and bilateral sessions, preparing agendas and supporting materials.
• Maintain communication logs, data records and reporting files related to stakeholder interactions.
• Act as the primary liaison for partner relations and community outreach concerning ENEK projects.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of stakeholder communication plans, collecting relevant data and preparing regular reports and presentations.
• Support the timely execution of project activities by collaborating with local communities and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, community liaison or government relations.
• Strong understanding of local regulations and ability to work with public authorities.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
