About the role
The Aga Khan University is launching a twelve‑month Facilities Administration Management Trainee program in Nairobi. The fast‑track rotation immerses recent engineering graduates in real‑world facilities operations, digital management tools, and cross‑functional projects.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in structured learning, coaching, mentorship and departmental rotations across engineering functions.
- Assist with asset data management and inventory verification.
- Support CMMS data entry, maintenance performance monitoring, predictive maintenance analysis and preparation of dashboards.
- Help maintain digital records, compliance documentation and accreditation activities.
- Contribute to planning, coordination, monitoring and documentation of engineering projects.
- Engage in process‑improvement initiatives and review of engineering guidelines and policies.
- Monitor utility performance, equipment reliability, energy consumption and maintenance KPIs.
- Support innovative upcoming projects prioritized by the Engineering Department.
Required profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Recent graduate or up to one year of relevant engineering experience.
- Industrial attachment or internship in facilities management, utilities, building services or hospital engineering is an advantage.

- CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) usage
