Farm Manager – Timau, Meru

About the role

Our client, a newly established high‑end resort in Timau, Meru, is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee mixed farming operations. You will be responsible for both livestock and crop production, ensuring high quality output and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage dairy cows, sheep, goats and a variety of vegetable and fruit crops.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximise yield and meet budget targets.
• Purchase inputs such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, and maintain inventory.
• Monitor animal health, liaise with government veterinarians, and apply health‑and‑safety standards.
• Conduct soil and water testing, and manage pest and disease control.
• Oversee marketing, sales and distribution of farm products.
• Perform artificial insemination, fodder production and preservation.
• Inspect all farm divisions regularly and report on performance.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science, Animal Science or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience managing mixed livestock and crop farms.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and budgeting abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
