Farm Supervisor – Dairy, Poultry & Horticulture

About the role

The Farm Supervisor will oversee daily operations of a mixed dairy, poultry and horticultural farm in Kirinyaga, Kenya. The role combines animal husbandry, crop production and staff coordination to ensure high productivity and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise feeding, watering, milking of dairy cows and egg collection from poultry, and monitor animal health.
• Manage planting, irrigation, weeding, spraying and harvesting of horticultural crops.
• Coordinate farm workers, assign daily tasks and ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across animal housing and field areas.
• Record milk output, egg counts, feed usage, fertilizer stocks and other farm inputs.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in sourcing markets and buyers for farm produce.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Health, Agribusiness or a related field.
• Proven experience in mixed farming, especially dairy, poultry and horticulture.
• Ability to supervise workers and coordinate multiple farm activities.
• Basic understanding of farm record keeping and budgeting.
• Honest, disciplined and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
