Field Service Assistant – Mobility

About the role

Join M-KOPA’s Mobility division as a Field Service Assistant, working directly with customers in one of our retail shops across Kenya. You will be the technical and product knowledge anchor, guiding new riders through onboarding, training, and bike issuance to ensure a confident first ride.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product demos, pitching, and induction sessions for new customers.
• Explain financing terms, insurance, driving‑school requirements and customer responsibilities.
• Review KYC documents, verify compliance and capture accurate customer data.
• Identify and escalate any fraud risks or documentation inconsistencies.
• Validate bike readiness – mechanical state, charge level, accessories – before hand‑over.
• Manage the end‑to‑end onboarding workflow: verification, training, activation, and issuance.
• Deliver hands‑on training on riding safety, battery care, charging, payments and app usage.
• Document hand‑over of bikes, helmets and other equipment and track training attendance.

Required profile

• College diploma or tertiary training in any field.
• Minimum 1 year of customer‑service experience (front‑office experience a plus).
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a professional, friendly demeanor.
