Field Service Engineer – Imaging Systems

About the role

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports Philips customers by delivering installation, corrective and planned maintenance, and remote support for imaging systems. The role ensures maximum system uptime, regulatory compliance, and high customer satisfaction across a range of diagnostic equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced field service support for Philips imaging systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, installations, and end‑to‑end case ownership.
• Perform system diagnostics and repairs using approved tools, remote diagnostics, and structured problem‑solving methods to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with Philips quality standards, medical device regulations, radiation safety, and MR safety protocols while completing all service documentation.
• Maintain detailed service records, manage parts inventory responsibly, and guarantee traceability of diagnostics and repairs.
• Build strong customer relationships by managing escalations, communicating technical issues clearly, and understanding the operational impact of equipment downtime.
• Contribute to team success through knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, adoption of new technologies, and identification of commercial opportunities such as service upgrades and lifecycle replacements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical, Mechatronics), Medical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a customer‑facing engineering, medical, or science‑related role.
• Hands‑on experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment (MRI, CT, X‑ray, Cath Lab/IGT, or Nuclear Medicine) in a field service or hospital biomedical setting.
• Experience with service management platforms (e.g., ServiceMax or equivalent CRM/FSM systems) and remote service tools.
• OEM modality training certificates (multimodality preferred); IT/networking certification such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA is an advantage.
