About the role
The Finance Intern will support the finance department of Mukiria Technical Training Institution by assisting with voucher verification, data entry, and routine accounting tasks. This position offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in verifying vouchers according to established rules and regulations.
- Perform primary data entry and routine accounting work, including balancing cashbooks, imprest, and advances ledgers.
- Support record‑keeping of departmental assets and documents.
- Provide assistance on any additional finance‑related duties as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in commerce (Banking and Finance) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- CPA Part 1 qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications used for finance tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
