Finance Manager – Financial Services

About the role

VisionFund Kenya is seeking a Finance Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across core financial functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, the role ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource management to support the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen financial systems and ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, payments, and documentation.
• Develop and implement budgeting systems, support departments in budget preparation, and monitor performance against budgets.
• Train staff in financial ratio analysis, prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders, and analyze performance gaps.
• Prepare weekly cash‑flow forecasts, evaluate funding options, and recommend treasury risk limits.
• Monitor financial performance against operational and business plans, and consolidate head‑office and branch plans.
• Assess and manage operational risks, design internal control systems, and coordinate with external auditors.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance team, set performance goals, and provide ongoing feedback.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and operational leadership across accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, treasury, and internal control functions.
• Experience ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient resource management.
• Proven capability to lead, supervise, and develop a finance team.
