Finance Officer

About the role

Fairoils EPZ Limited, a leading Kenyan manufacturer and exporter of vegetable and essential oils, is seeking a motivated Finance Officer to join its finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help maintain accurate financial records and support working capital management in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer invoicing, accounts receivable and collections.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Oversee the fixed asset register, coordinate physical verification and ensure proper accounting.
• Support treasury and accounts payable functions, including payment processing, supplier reconciliations and cash planning.
• Prepare monthly financial schedules and assist with month‑end and year‑end close.
• Prepare regulatory and statutory reports.
• Participate in inventory stock counts and assist with inventory reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audit processes and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Provide business continuity support across the finance function as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent professional qualification; at least CPA Part III (Finalist) required.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG or agro‑processing.
• Experience in accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, treasury, accounts payable, balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end reporting.
