Finance Systems and Process Management Lead

About the role

The Finance Systems and Process Management Lead will drive the review, design and continuous improvement of finance processes and systems across Equity Bank Kenya. This senior position partners with finance, IT and business units to ensure efficient, governed and digitised finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse finance business processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps and standardisation opportunities.
• Define and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy, timeliness and governance.
• Assess finance system needs, capture business requirements and design enhancements for Oracle E‑Business Suite and related platforms.
• Lead system and process improvement projects from design through testing, data migration, deployment and post‑go‑live support.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, issue resolution and transition to business‑as‑usual.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for Oracle E‑Business Suite, EPM and banking finance processes, providing guidance and troubleshooting.
• Support adoption of digitisation, AI, RPA and other emerging technologies to automate finance workflows.
• Identify automation use cases and establish sustainable operating and governance models.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) experience in finance systems, process improvement or related roles.
• Proven experience with large‑scale finance system implementations and upgrades.
• Strong understanding of banking finance processes and controls.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Senior‑level communication and stakeholder management skills.
