Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Financial Accountant to join our healthcare outsourcing team in Westlands, Kenya. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, handling insurance claims, and ensuring accurate financial reporting on a monthly basis.

Key responsibilities

• Process, bill, batch and submit insurance claims to insurers and produce weekly claim reports.
• Review daily cashiers reports, resolve discrepancies and post supplier invoices.
• Prepare customer and supplier statements by the 4th of each month.
• Follow up on outstanding debts and ensure timely payments.
• Calculate doctors’ fees weekly and compile a monthly schedule by the 3rd.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations and submit related reports.
• Conduct surprise stock‑takes and monthly inventory counts, and generate daily inventory movement reports.
• Enforce internal controls, ensure compliance and post all transactions by the 3rd of each month for reporting.
• Supervise petty‑cash postings, reimbursements and prepare bi‑weekly admin dashboards.
• File statutory deductions by the required deadlines.

Required profile

• Business‑related degree.
• CPA finalist status.
• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of relevant accounting experience.
