Fintech Frontiers Lead

About the role

The Fintech Frontiers Lead drives the discovery, development and scaling of next‑generation fintech innovations that create long‑term growth and competitive advantage. Reporting to the Tribe Lead Next Gen Fintech, the role scans emerging technologies, evaluates business models and translates opportunities into actionable, revenue‑generating strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify global fintech trends, monitor AI, blockchain, open‑banking and embedded‑finance advancements, and assess regulatory impacts.
• Define and maintain a fintech frontier strategy, prioritize innovation themes and create long‑term road‑maps aligned with business goals.
• Design, run and evaluate proofs of concept and pilot programs using agile and rapid‑prototyping methods.
• Build and nurture partnerships with startups, fintechs, technology providers and venture‑capital networks to co‑innovate and explore acquisition opportunities.
• Integrate successful innovations into existing platforms, ensuring interoperability, scalability and a seamless customer experience.
• Develop business cases, monetisation models and go‑to‑market plans, tracking ROI and commercial impact across markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Technology, Business or Innovation (MBA preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in fintech, banking, digital transformation or innovation roles.
• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, APIs, open banking and embedded finance.
• Proven track record in innovation strategy, product incubation and partnership development.
• Solid understanding of financial‑services regulations, risk and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and cross‑functional leadership abilities.
