Fire Protection Inspector (Tier 2)

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Fire Protection Inspector (Tier 2) to provide fire inspection services across assigned sites. The role involves inspecting fire protection devices, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting emergency response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect fire protection devices, systems and procedures to verify proper operation and regulatory compliance.
• Plan, schedule and conduct training programs for the Fire/Security Section, maintaining all training records and materials.
• Respond to emergencies, act as safety officer, and assist with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed.
• Function as a firefighter to supplement personnel as needed and operate relevant Automated Information Systems.
• Perform duties in accordance with AR 420‑1, DoDI 6055.06, NFPA standards and other applicable regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of four years of related fire protection inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write and speak English at an intermediate level.
• Authorization to work in the country of employment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 1, 101, 5000, 10).
• Familiarity with OSHA/29 CFR fire safety regulations (1910.120, 1910.157).
• Experience inspecting fire protection systems and devices.
