Fleet & Administration Manager

About the role

The Fleet & Administration Manager will lead the daily transport operations and oversee all administrative functions within the NTD Department. This role ensures fleet productivity, compliance, and high‑quality service delivery for Africa Global Logistics Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Operations Controller to guarantee effective execution of transport operations.
• Monitor fleet productivity, vehicle utilisation, trip performance and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate resources to maximise fleet utilisation and minimise downtime.
• Review performance reports, implement initiatives to improve productivity and service delivery.
• Oversee departmental records, documentation and correspondence, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
• Manage procurement requests and administrative support for transport operations.
• Track departmental KPIs, conduct performance review meetings and follow up on action plans.
• Supervise, coach and mentor the Operations Controller and Compliance Officer, conducting regular performance reviews.
• Promote health, safety, security, environment and quality standards across transport activities.
• Escalate transport incidents and ensure corrective actions are applied.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional qualifications in Transport Management, Logistics, Fleet Management, Project Management or Supply Chain Management are an advantage.
• Membership in a recognised professional body (e.g., CILT, KISM, KIFWA) is desirable.
