Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day management of the company’s vehicle fleet in Nairobi. Reporting to the Supply Chain and Logistics Department, you will ensure vehicles are available, well‑maintained, and operated safely in line with the organisation’s HSE policies and transport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily fleet operations, vehicle movement and deployment schedules.
• Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, inspections and breakdown response, ensuring all maintenance is performed on time.
• Oversee mechanics and drivers, enforcing safety procedures, PPE use and HSE standards.
• Monitor fuel consumption, investigate variances and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date fleet documentation including insurance, licences, inspection certificates and maintenance records.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, preparing detailed reports.
• Manage vehicle tracking and monitoring systems and ensure emergency equipment is functional.
• Prepare performance, maintenance and compliance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and HSE requirements.
• Proven ability to lead teams of drivers and mechanics.
