Food & Beverage Controller (Hotel)

About the role

We are seeking a Food & Beverage Controller to join our hotel in Nairobi. The role focuses on managing costs, inventory and financial reporting for the F&B department, ensuring profitability and compliance with hotel standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily food and beverage costs against budgets, analyse variances and prepare cost control reports.
• Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with system records to minimise waste and expiry risks.
• Verify purchase orders, supplier invoices and delivery notes, ensuring correct pricing, quantities and quality.
• Maintain accurate F&B transaction records, produce weekly and monthly financial reports and support internal and external audits.
• Utilise POS/ERP systems to track sales, inventory and cost data, and contribute to system improvements and data accuracy.

Required profile

• Degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Accounting or related field (CPA a plus).
• Minimum 2 years experience in food & beverage cost control or hospitality finance.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and F&B systems.
• Experience with ERP and/or POS systems.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.
