Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Blink, you will bridge content, design, and engineering to deliver modern, AI-enabled content platforms for a variety of clients. The role is project-based, typically lasting 1-4 months, and involves both client-facing technical leadership and hands-on prototyping.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients to define, validate, and implement technical solutions for content modernization and generative AI enablement.
• Advise on technology stacks, trade-offs, and implementation approaches, including CMS/DAM, front-end frameworks, APIs, and AI services.
• Design and build proof-of-concepts that demonstrate feasibility, value, and scalability of proposed solutions.
• Integrate headless CMS/DAM platforms and implement front-end integrations using React/Next.js.
• Develop and wire up GenAI workflows (LLM, Retrieval-Augmented Generation) into content creation, assembly, and delivery pipelines.
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG), performance (Core Web Vitals), and scalability, and define testing strategies for content models, front-end rendering, and AI outputs.

Required profile

• Senior-level engineer who still writes code and enjoys hands-on delivery.
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders in a consulting or delivery role.
• Strong understanding of front-end fundamentals and modern web frameworks.
• Practical experience with AI/LLM technologies and content workflows.
