Front-End Developer – 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

Britam’s Betalab team is looking for a Front‑End Developer on a one‑year fixed‑term contract to design and build responsive, accessible web interfaces. You will work closely with designers, backend engineers and product managers to turn requirements into high‑quality user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, interactive, and accessible user interfaces using React.js.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to implement new features.
• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Integrate with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and manage application state (Redux, Context API, etc.).
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend issues promptly.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest frontend technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI, Bootstrap).
• Familiarity with state‑management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, Context API).
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
• Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
