Garage Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Garage Manager to lead our Westlands service facility. You will be responsible for overseeing daily garage operations, ensuring high‑quality workmanship, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations across all service bays, scheduling repairs and monitoring productivity.
• Maintain quality control standards and ensure timely vehicle turnaround.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Oversee parts procurement, supplier relationships, and accurate inventory control.
• Drive business development by expanding drive‑in services and building fleet/corporate client relationships.
• Monitor labour efficiency, gross margins, and workshop budgets to ensure profitability.
• Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance within the workshop.
• Utilize digital tools to track KPIs and prepare regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years managing an automotive workshop, service centre or garage.
• Strong leadership, planning and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Proficiency with digital systems for workshop management.
