About the role
World Vision is offering a 12‑month Graduate Finance Internship in Nairobi. This talent incubation programme is designed for recent Christian graduates to gain hands‑on experience in finance while developing personal, spiritual and professional skills through mentorship and coaching.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier payments, cash advances and refunds, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor the EARO invoices mailbox, review pending purchase orders quarterly, and prepare monthly creditor reconciliations.
- Liaise with vendors and the Finance Officer to resolve disputed items and clear outstanding bank reconciliation items.
- Manage cash/advance settlement requests, corporate credit‑card expenses, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Allocate and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts related to advances and inter‑office payments.
- Maintain document management and archiving systems, ensuring proper filing and retrieval for auditors and government agencies.
- Participate in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis activities as assigned.
- Support events, facilities management and other administrative duties as needed.
Required profile
- Graduated within the last two years with a degree in Accounting, Business Administration or an equivalent professional qualification (CPA or ACCA level 2 preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and capacity to work with minimal supervision.
- Christ‑centred values, personal integrity and humanitarian mindset.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with accounting software.
