Graduate Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will join the Quantity Surveying team to support the financial and contractual management of construction and interior fit‑out projects. This role offers practical exposure to cost planning, procurement, contract administration and cost control, helping the graduate develop core competencies in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates and preliminary cost plans for construction and interior fit‑out projects.
• Support the development, monitoring and updating of project budgets.
• Carry out quantity take‑offs, measurements and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors and assist in tender documentation.
• Support tender evaluation by compiling and analysing quotations.
• Maintain contract records, prepare variation orders and track project variations.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and maintain cost trackers.
• Help prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and financial reports.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to learn and support senior surveyors.

Required skills

• Cost estimation and budgeting.
• Quantity take‑offs and measurement.
• Preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documents.
• Basic contract administration and variation tracking.
