Head of Expert Operations (SSA)

About the role

The Head of Expert (HOE) at Haleon leads a comprehensive expert engagement operation across the SSA region. Reporting to senior management, the role is responsible for driving an omnichannel transformation that increases expert recommendations, brand preference and patient purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction for expert engagement, covering digital channels, content creation and field force activities.
• Lead and develop Expert Engagement Leaders, Expert Marketing Managers, Omnichannel Activation Leads and Data Stewardship managers.
• Allocate resources efficiently to maximise expert coverage, recommendation rates and conversion metrics.
• Represent Haleon with Key Opinion Leaders, professional associations, government agencies and community groups.
• Oversee omnichannel activation, data stewardship and capability building to achieve ‘brand recommended most often’ (BRMO) status.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align expert initiatives with overall business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in expert engagement, medical or consumer health marketing, or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading large, multi‑disciplinary teams and delivering strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel strategies, digital engagement and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience interfacing with KOLs, regulators and industry bodies.
