Head of Operations – Integrated Commercial Solutions (ICS)

About the role

The Head of Operations will lead the operational strategy for Integrated Commercial Solutions (ICS) – Market Access Healthcare across all African markets where the business operates. This senior position is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding into new countries, and ensuring the business delivers on its financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the operating model for the ICS business in every country of operation.
• Deliver short‑ and long‑term revenue and financial plans by country.
• Develop and execute country‑level channel strategies for all product categories.
• Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with distributors, key customers and stakeholders.
• Design and implement a key‑account management strategy for top customers in each market.
• Position Integrated Commercial Solutions as the preferred route‑to‑market partner for healthcare companies across Africa.
• Lead the people and culture agenda in line with organisational values.
• Implement governance, compliance frameworks and risk‑management processes.
• Recruit, develop and manage high‑performance teams in each country.
• Manage existing distribution partners and expand the network footprint.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration with other departments.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent; a master’s degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading businesses across multiple African markets.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise culturally diverse teams remotely.
• Eligibility to work in the country of application.
