Head of REP Program / REP Director (Kenya)

About the role

The Head of REP Program will design and scale Finagra’s Rural Entrepreneur Partner (REP) operating model across Kenya and future markets. Reporting to the CEO and Country Manager, the role blends strategic portfolio management with hands‑on field work, ensuring REPs are supported from selection through to performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a scalable REP operating model, including investment criteria and risk management.
• Lead the full REP lifecycle: identification, screening, contracting, onboarding, active management, and replacement.
• Collaborate with Agronomy, Finance, Tech, Supply Chain, Growth, and HQ teams to align resources and support for REPs.
• Monitor REP performance, conduct portfolio reviews, and make capital‑allocation decisions.
• Build trust with rural entrepreneurs through regular field visits, training, and community engagement.
• Foster a community of high‑performing farming partners and drive shared‑value outcomes for farmers, landowners, and Finagra.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in agribusiness, rural development, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and portfolio‑management skills.
• Ability to work both in boardrooms and on the ground with rural partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with agronomy‑led franchise or contract‑farming models.
• Knowledge of financing mechanisms for small‑scale farmers.
• Familiarity with agricultural IT tools and data‑driven decision making.
