Head of Security

About the role

The Head of Security will lead security operations across construction sites, completed residential developments, offices and a manufacturing plant for a leading Kenyan real‑estate investment company. This strategic position is responsible for safeguarding assets, investors, residents and employees while building a world‑class security function.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the enterprise security strategy.
• Lead security operations across multiple construction projects and completed developments.
• Manage outsourced security providers and oversee day‑to‑day security activities.
• Conduct investigations into security incidents.
• Implement technology‑driven security systems, including CCTV and access control.
• Perform security risk assessments and strengthen emergency preparedness.
• Protect company assets, investors, residents and employees.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing security team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Security Management, Risk Management or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of progressive security leadership experience.
• Experience managing security for construction projects or large real‑estate portfolios.
• Strong investigative and risk‑management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, integrity and sound judgment.
