Hostess

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant at Gem Forest MGallery Hotel Collection. You will ensure a smooth, welcoming experience by managing reservations, seating guests, and maintaining a tidy hostess station.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls within three rings using proper etiquette.
• Take, confirm, and update restaurant reservations and cancellations.
• Review the reservation book, pre‑assign tables, and handle special requests.
• Greet guests at the entrance, seat them according to the floor plan, and present menus.
• Maintain clean and organized hostess stand and ensure menus and check folders are stocked.
• Anticipate busy periods, manage waiting lines, and coordinate with wait staff.
• Provide accurate information about hotel services and handle guest inquiries.
• Address guest complaints promptly following pacification procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Associate's degree.
• At least one month of experience in a front‑of‑house or hospitality role.
• Calm, courteous demeanor with strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate within a team.
