Hotel Housekeeper – Full‑Time Position

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our team in Nairobi’s Westlands district. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort across guest rooms and public areas of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens and restocking amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop and disinfect all assigned areas, ensuring rooms meet hotel presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, reception, stairways, washrooms and other common areas, and empty waste bins.
• Assist with laundry operations – sorting, washing, drying, folding and storing linen.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, report shortages and handle cleaning equipment safely.
• Respond promptly to guest housekeeping requests and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow health, safety and hotel housekeeping procedures, including proper use of chemicals.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness and report lost‑and‑found items.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in hotel or similar hospitality housekeeping.
• Basic training in housekeeping or hospitality is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices and housekeeping standards.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout shifts.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
