Hotel & Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Hotel & Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations across our hotel and restaurant facilities in Nairobi. The role ensures seamless service delivery, high guest satisfaction, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Lead and monitor service staff, reception, housekeeping, and kitchen support teams.
• Address guest concerns, feedback, and complaints promptly to maintain exceptional customer service.
• Conduct staff briefings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Develop and manage duty rosters, shift schedules, and attendance records.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety compliance.
• Oversee inventory management, stock requisition, usage monitoring, and loss prevention.
• Coordinate between departments to support smooth guest experiences.
• Monitor daily sales performance, operational costs, and resource utilization.
• Support promotions, events, and business development initiatives.
• Prepare operational, incident, and performance reports for management.
• Enforce company policies and foster a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in hotel, restaurant or hospitality operations, with supervisory or team‑leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of front‑office, food‑and‑beverage, housekeeping, and overall hospitality best practices.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate teams while maintaining high employee engagement.
