Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team at a boutique hotel in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and managing staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Manage inventory, control housekeeping supplies, and coordinate procurement.
• Plan and schedule work shifts, including flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
