Housekeeping Supervisor – Nairobi

About the role

The Hotel seeks an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations and ensure the highest standards of guestroom and public‑area presentation. Reporting to hotel management, you will coordinate a team of housekeepers, manage supplies, and support a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities across guest rooms, corridors, and public areas.
• Allocate duties, create staff schedules and monitor productivity.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with quality and presentation standards.
• Manage housekeeping supplies, linen inventories and cleaning materials.
• Train, coach and motivate housekeeping staff to improve service quality.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve service issues.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Prepare reports, inventory records and maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments for seamless operations.
• Support management in maintaining a clean, safe and professional hotel environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, room preparation and laundry operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train and motivate staff while maintaining high performance.
• Good understanding of health, safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations in the hospitality sector.
• Excellent planning, organisational and time‑management abilities.
