HR Generalist – Kenya (Remote)

About the role

TalentPop App, a fast‑growing e‑commerce company, is seeking an HR Generalist based in Kenya to support its expanding remote team. You will be the primary HR contact for Kenyan employees, helping them throughout their journey with the company.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main HR point of contact for the Kenya‑based team.
• Support employees with HR questions, concerns, and workplace matters.
• Conduct background, credential, and medical certificate verifications.
• Maintain accurate employee and HR records.
• Assist with onboarding, off‑boarding, and exit interviews.
• Help with benefits enrollment, updates, and employee inquiries.
• Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues.
• Prepare HR documents, reports, and communications.
• Support employee engagement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Recruitment, People Operations, and HR leadership on HR matters.
• Improve HR processes using technology and AI tools.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in HR, HR Administration, People Operations, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Experience handling employee records, HR documentation, or verification processes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
• Familiarity with Kenyan employment practices is an advantage.
• Experience with benefits, employee relations, or remote teams is a plus.
