HR Intern

About the role

ORCHID HR is looking for a motivated HR Intern to support its recruitment and employee‑relations activities in Nairobi. This three‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in core HR functions while working closely with the HR Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in posting job adverts on various platforms.
• Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews.
• Support the shortlisting process.
• Prepare HR letters such as contracts, confirmation letters, and notices.
• Help address employee inquiries by directing them to the HR Manager.
• Prepare onboarding documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and induction materials.
• Participate in HR projects like policy development, job descriptions, HR audits, and compliance support.
• Assist in preparing HR proposals, reports, and presentations.
• Maintain organized employee records and HR databases.
• Participate in performance appraisals and tracking reviews.
• Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
