Human Resource Officer (Uganda)

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resource Officer to support HR operations in Uganda, ensuring smooth processes and a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: job postings, screening, interviews and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Handle employee relations issues and promote a constructive work environment.
• Support performance management, including appraisals and development plans.
• Oversee leave, attendance and generate HR reports.
• Coordinate training and development activities.
• Ensure compliance with Uganda labour laws and company policies.
• Provide administrative support to the HR department while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of HR experience.
• Knowledge of Uganda labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Independent, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Ugandan residency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with HR information systems.

What we offer

• Competitive salary (negotiable) within the range of KES 90,000 – 105,000 per month.
