Human Resources Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Human Resources Assistant to support the HR department in day‑to‑day operations. You will help with recruitment, employee records, payroll assistance, onboarding, compliance and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain employee databases, attendance and leave records.
• Assist with payroll preparation and salary administration.
• Support the HR Manager in policy development, hiring processes and salary administration.
• Post job ads online, shortlist candidates and schedule interviews.
• Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new hires.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage HR department schedules, meetings and events.
• Ensure compliance with employment and labour laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or administration.
• Membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Employment Act, labour laws and HR best practices.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) or payroll software.
