Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner will optimise people processes, standardise practices to the DP World model and ensure compliance with global and local policies. You will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, supporting the full employee lifecycle and driving engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement people strategies aligned with business objectives and organisational priorities.
• Partner with managers to provide expert advice on policies, procedures and solutions.
• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, development and off‑boarding.
• Identify talent gaps, support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
• Lead employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and retention programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, CBAs and company policies.
• Drive people projects, transformation initiatives and continuous process improvements.
• Support organisational change management and act as the interface with People service providers.
• Handle employee and industrial relations matters, including grievance handling and CBA negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
• Professional HR certification (CHRP(K), SHRM, HRCI or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or generalist in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan employment and labour legislation and industrial relations.
• Experience supporting multiple African markets or operating in a multi‑country setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
• Experience using Sage, SAP or Oracle HR platforms.
