Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives at Mama Ashanti Limited, a hospitality company based in Westlands, Kenya. The role focuses on fostering a positive work environment, aligning HR strategy with business goals, and ensuring compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HR systems that promote order, punctuality and discipline.
• Design and implement policies that support a healthy work environment.
• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Bridge management and employee relations, addressing demands, grievances and issues.
• Oversee recruitment and selection processes in line with strategic plans.
• Drive performance appraisal systems to achieve high performance.
• Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs.
• Organize learning and development initiatives and assess training needs.
• Provide HR metrics and decision support to management.
• Ensure legal compliance across all HR activities.

Required profile

• Senior‑level HR professional with at least 8 years of experience.
• Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies and strategies.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage employee relations and support business needs.
