Human Resources Manager

About the role

RIVANA STRATEGIES is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions for its healthcare operations. You will be responsible for driving recruitment, employee relations, and compliance while supporting the growth of clinical and non‑clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding for clinical and non‑clinical staff.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Manage employee records and ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
• Oversee performance management, employee engagement and staff development programmes.
• Handle employee relations matters and resolve workplace issues professionally.
• Coordinate compensation, benefits administration and payroll processes.
• Support managers with workforce planning and organisational development.
• Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
• Ensure statutory compliance with NSSF, SHA, PAYE and related regulations.
• Prepare HR reports and provide insights for management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP(K), IHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the healthcare, hospital or medical services sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and employment regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Strong organisational and leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS).
