Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer to join Mini Group’s manufacturing and warehousing operations in Nairobi’s Westlands district. The role will support all core HR functions, ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour law and delivering high‑quality employee services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, leave registers and generate HRIS reports.
• Drive recruitment activities including job postings, screening, interviewing, onboarding and candidate database management.
• Handle employee concerns, grievances and disciplinary matters in line with company policies.
• Support performance management processes, KPI setting, appraisal tracking and timeline adherence.
• Implement and review HR policies, ensure legal compliance and assist with audits.
• Assist with compensation, benefits administration, salary reviews and payroll queries.
• Identify training needs, coordinate learning programs and track development records.
• Prepare HR analytics on recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, training and compliance for management decision‑making.

Required profile

• CHRP certification or Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management (mandatory).
• Active IHRM membership (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences or related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years managing HR processes in a labour‑intensive, unionised environment.
• At least 2 years hands‑on experience with HRMIS/HRIS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation.
