Human Resources Officer – Kitengela

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer to join our team in Kitengela. The role involves supporting HR strategy, managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, performance management and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements.
• Provide data for payroll processing and administer benefits and statutory deductions.
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and grievance resolution.
• Coordinate training, learning and development initiatives.
• Monitor attendance, leave and performance, and prepare regular HR reports.
• Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience as an HR Officer or in a comparable role.
• Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
• High integrity, confidentiality and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) is an advantage.
