Information Management Intern

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking an Information Management Intern to support its data and GIS activities in Nairobi. The role will involve working with the Innovation and Data Analysis team to manage databases, conduct data analysis, and assist with monitoring and evaluation tools for development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and administer databases for project data.
• Perform data analysis using Excel, SQL, Access, PowerBI or similar tools.
• Support GIS mapping and spatial analysis for program reporting.
• Develop and manage data collection platforms such as Kobo, ODK, SurveyCTO, and CommCare.
• Provide training and capacity‑building on information management systems to staff and partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Innovation, Commercial Contracts, and Programs.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, IT or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in information management, database design or administration within NGOs or UN projects.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
