Innovation Specialist – Digital Livelihoods Platform (Remote)

About the role

The Innovation Specialist will support Generation Unlimited’s Youth Agency Marketplace (YOMA), a global digital solution that connects young people with learning, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Working remotely under the Innovation Manager, the incumbent will coordinate technical delivery, partnership integration and the transition of YOMA towards a Digital Public Good.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to UNICEF Country Offices and national Generation Unlimited platforms.
• Manage the integrated YOMA technology roadmap and ecosystem architecture across yoma.world, YoID and the YOMA Impacts Exchange.
• Advance YOMA’s transition to Digital Public Goods and Digital Public Infrastructure principles.
• Prioritise YoID‑first ecosystem integration and plan partner onboarding.
• Coordinate job‑matching, learning‑to‑earning, impact and credential pipelines.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with donors, governments and the private sector.
• Translate YOMA adoption into concrete implementation plans, measurable results and youth livelihood outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating and managing digital platforms for youth or livelihood programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver remote technical assistance and support multi‑country implementation.
• Strong understanding of Digital Public Goods, digital identity solutions and ecosystem integration.
• Experience in partnership development with donors, governments and private‑sector stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and produce results-oriented plans.
