Insider Threat Analyst – Cybersecurity

About the role

Standard Chartered is looking for an experienced Insider Threat Analyst to join its Insider Threat Defence Team. You will lead day‑to‑day investigations, assess insider risks, and help strengthen controls across the bank’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Insider Threat Defence to develop long‑term strategies for identifying emerging insider risks.
• Monitor user activity and system logs using insider‑threat detection tools to spot suspicious behaviour.
• Analyse behavioural and digital data to pinpoint high‑risk individuals or activities.
• Produce quarterly and annual reports for senior leadership on program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, and IT to align policies with compliance requirements.
• Investigate a wide range of insider incidents, including data leaks, espionage, fraud, and IP theft.
• Gather and analyse evidence, conduct interviews, and present legally compliant findings.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, investigations, or digital forensics.
• Proven ability to apply risk‑assessment methodologies and identify control gaps.
• Experience conducting end‑to‑end insider‑threat investigations independently.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
