Internal Auditor – Nairobi

About the role

Powervision Consultancy is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join its client’s team in Karen, Nairobi. The role involves reviewing business processes, assessing compliance, identifying control weaknesses and preparing practical audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits across business functions and branches, reviewing operational processes, financial records and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management practices, recommend improvements, and follow up on identified gaps.
• Assess compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations, conduct branch visits and document findings.
• Prepare clear audit reports, present findings to management and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with departments to support continuous improvement and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in internal audit, audit or internal controls.
• Proven ability to review business processes, assess risks and document findings.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Willingness to conduct regular branch and function visits.
